When Personality Traits Get in the Way - Drawing on Schema Therapy Approaches in Working with Clients with Challenging Problems

This one day workshop explores how clinicians can draw flexibly on schema therapy techniques in working with clients where standard approaches may not be effective, particularly where clients have additional personality traits or disorders that complicate treatment. Although there will be some focus on working with early maladaptive schemas, the main emphasis will be on working effectively with schema modes in clients with personality features or disorders that complicate standard approaches.
