Psychobiology Annual Scientific Meeting 2018

Wednesday 5th September - Friday 7th September at Low Wood Bay Hotel, Windermere

Psychobiology describes the interaction between biological systems and behaviour. Psychobiologists research how psychological factors like cognition, mood and appraisal combine with biological events like stress physiology, changes in brain function, and pharmacological effects, to shape the human experience. Striving to understand psychological and biological interactions provides psychobiology with a unique perspective on humanity.

The British Psychological Society Psychobiology Section Annual Scientific Meeting features:

Call for Submissions

Submissions for this event are no longer being accepted. The deadline for submissions was 23:59 Sunday 1st July 2018.

Postgraduate Places

The Section is funding two free places at our Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) for registered postgraduate students.

Postgraduates wishing to be awarded one of these places should submit a summary (maximum 1,000 words) concerning the work from which their submission arises in addition to an abstract. Please submit the summary to Dr Philippa Jackson at piip.ako@otubi.cuhlpajcsnnrhmraa.k

Entries for these places must be received by 23:59 Sunday 1st July 2018. However, should any places remain unfilled beyond this date then at the discretion of the committee the additional awards may be made on a first come first served basis. These awards cover the registration fee and accommodation at the Low Wood Hotel.

Undergrad place

Submission for the Psychobiology Section Undergraduate Project prize are invited from students who have completed their final year project in any area of psychobiology. Students should submit the whole assessed version of their project as a PDF or word document via email to mrhpeghl.cuupy@deila.k with an accompanying letter of support from their academic supervisor. Applications must be submitted before 23:59 on 15th July 2018.
