Neuropsychology 4: Going Further into Neuropsychological Assessment

This workshop focuses on a more in-depth consideration of a collaborative form of neuropsychological assessment. We will explore an approach to neuropsychological assessment suited to those psychologists already experienced in clinical areas of practise. We will consider specific case studies and the need for careful therapeutic planning. This is the added value counselling psychologists can bring to all areas of neuropsychology practise.

Learning outcomes and objectives:

  • Understand be able to put into practice the principles of a collaborative neuropsychological assessments
  • Integrate neuropsychological observations
  • Participate in case study discussions
  • Plan therapeutic input for neuropsychological difficulties

Who is the course intended for?

This workshop will be particularly useful for those psychologists at the end of their accredited training or post qualified who wish to extend their neuropsychological knowledge. This will be a combination of both theory and practice so attendees will be able to take their learning back to their workplace.

Speakers and Facilitators

Susan van Scoyoc

Susan has over thirty years of experience of practice in clinical, forensic and therapeutic settings. She is a registered test user using ability and personality testing regularly in her clinical practice. Susan has integrated neuropsychological competences in her practice and has taught this workshop on several postgraduate counselling psychology courses.
