National Apprenticeship Levy Workshop

8th November 2016 at Pera Business Park

Please note this is an invitation only event with limited availability

The National Apprenticeship Workshop is a free event in association with the Skills Funding Agency (SfA) and the Local Government Association (LGA). Hosted by East Midlands Councils this workshop will provide the latest information on the governments apprenticeship policy (the apprenticeship levy and public sector targets) as well as exploring how we can collaborate as employers and providers of apprenticeships and work together to maximise the levy.

This event is aimed primarily at the HR community who manage schemes where the apprentices are employed by the local authority and it will include a mix of lead government speakers, panel sessions and the opportunity to participate in workshop and networking sessions to share learning and potential collaboration opportunities.

Hearing directly from government about their proposals and from other authorities the agenda will include:

o Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) - apprenticeship fees, funding bands, spending funding and targets
o The Levy and digital vouchers
o Standards – for employers and providers
o Procurement
o Schools and the Levy
o Traineeships / routes into apprenticeships
o Suggestions for growing your apprenticeship programme
o Provision of training and how to set up your organisation to deliver apprenticeship training.
