NWG Child Sexual Exploitation Foundation Course

Wednesday 9th September 2015 at NWG Network Headquarters

The NWG are delighted to announce our Child Sexual Exploitation Foundation Course, part of our new suite of training programmes developed and delivered by our specialist team.

The Foundation Course is designed to follow on from our own innovative online resource ‘Tackling CSE’ or other similar basic educational courses where the learning outcomes are basic awareness, signs, symptoms, triggers and indicators.

The learning outcomes for the one day Foundation Course are;

  • Improved understanding of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) covering the different models
  • How young people become involved and react to CSE issues
  • The process of CSE, what is known about perpetrators and how they target and exploit young people
  • Understand what is best practice in responding to issues of CSE
  • The benefits of the new Modern Day Slavery Act 2015 sections 1 & 2 and how this new legislation can be used to combat CSE locally
  • Forthcoming developments and the future of CSE practices
  • Partnership working and Information sharing

On completion of the course delegates will receive a certificate and the NWG Foundation course electronic badge that can be displayed on their emails.
