About Enterprise for Education (E4E)

Enterprise for Education (E4E) is a not-for-profit partnership based in Derby with a passion to encourage young people to aim high and achieve more. We rely on a wide range of employers in the region to deliver our activities in schools. These are CV workshops, Mock Interviews, Enterprise Challenge Days, Careers Talks and personal mentoring. In the 2017-2018 academic year, E4E delivered Mock Interviews to 1904 students; CV workshops to 1973 students; Careers Workshops for 3136 students and Enterprise Challenge Days for 2270 students providing a total of 11,765 employer encounters in the 2017-18 academic year.

What we do for students is summarised by Debbie Gerring, Head of St Martins School; “E4E provide invaluable experiences that broaden students’ horizons and help prepare them towards being work ready. Volunteers add value to this process with their experience and knowledge and help to raise students’ aspirations. Our partnership actively prepares students for the future building their confidence and skills positively”

An employer’s perspective is summarised by Paul Broadhead, Head of Community Investment and Education Outreach at Rolls-Royce plc; “Our partnership with E4E allows us to engage with young people in a structured and impactful way”

How can I get involved?

We are continuously recruiting new volunteers who share our vision and are passionate about improving the prospects of young people. Whether you have experience of working with students or not we’d love to hear from you. All we ask for is a minimum of half a day a year of your time in order to go into local schools and deliver our employability activities. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or want to find out more about E4E and our activities, please contact the E4E team.
