CPLAAC Study Day – Sharing Good Practice

Thursday 18th June 2015 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Post Graduate Medical School

Colleagues from within the network will present and share good or innovative practice relevant to our work as psychologists in services for looked after and adopted children.

Services for Looked After and Adopted Children vary tremendously from place to place, and can be housed in NHS, Social Care, Charity, Third, or Independent sector provisions. Often practitioners are isolated from other psychologists providing similar services in other areas due to this fragmentation. This study day will provide an opportunity for practitioners from all areas of the country, across all sectors, to come together to share good practice and ideas.

Learning outcomes and objectives

  • Awareness of good practice in other areas and services
  • Awareness of range of services and practitioner psychologists working in this area
  • Ideas for service development
  • Support from colleagues in other services
  • Re-energising this network after a period of inactivity

Who is the workshop intended for?

Anyone providing psychological services within a service for looked after or adopted children and their families, including edge of care.
