The Psychology of Education Section of the British Psychological Society is delighted to announce the 2014 Annual Conference at Kents Hill Park Conference Centre, Milton Keynes from 7th to 9th November.

The conference programme includes keynote addresses from Professor Clare Wood on Digital Communications and Children's Literacy Development, Professor John Hattie (Vernon Wall Lecture) on Advancing a Science of Learning, and Dr Harriet Tenenbaum on Children's Understanding of Emotion and Important Relationships. There will also be range of symposium and workshops.

Dr Harriet Tenenbaum

Speaker
Harriet Tenenbaum, PhD is a reader in developmental psychology at the University of Surrey. She received her PhD at the University of California, Santa Cruz and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her research interests focus on children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development in parent-child, peer, and teacher-child relationships. Her recent work has examined children’s understanding of social issues (e.g., discrimination and rights) and emotion understanding. She is the editor of the British Journal of Educational Psychology.
