Introduction

Neuropsychology of Language Disorders in Adult Acquired & Progressive Neurological Disorders

This Post-Qualifying Training day aims to provide the novice and experienced practitioner with an overview of current perspectives on the neuropsychology of language (and speech) dysfunction in the context of acquired and progressive neurological conditions. It will bridge the gap between statistical models and cognitive neuropsychology models of aphasia. Included in this event, will be an account of the latest developments in research on these conditions and how it has informed our understanding of language and cognition and its impact on social function.

This PQT event will be particular suited to those who work in the Older people sector, Specialist Neurological Diagnostic and Rehabilitation services, Community Neurorehabilitation Services and Stroke Units.
