Introduction
"Skills Accounts and the skills health check will be essential tools coupled with high quality skills and training advise and practical guidance which will enable individuals to make informed choices about the learning and skills they will need to advance in work and life. Embedding Skills Accounts and the skills health check in the nextsteps network by Autumn 2009 will be a key milestone as we move towards the creation of an adult advancement service by 2010"

As a Skills Accounts trial region we are informing the shape of the adult advancement and careers service and helping the learners to take control of their learning and working life"

Colleagues who should attend this event are managers with responsibility for the nexstep service and Advisers who provide the advice and guidance service to clients, complete the Skills Action Plan and will use the Skills Diagnostic Tool to develop this service.
