Introduction

This workshop aims to provide delegates with an understanding of how to formulate a case in Clinical Psychology. The emphasis of the day will be on how a variety of approaches can be used integratively to reach a rich understanding of the problems people present with. There will be both presentations and active workshops so that the focus can be on applying theory to practice. 

This workshop is intended for anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in Clinical Psychology and also anyone currently in training. Qualified Clinical Psychologists may also wish to attend.

Learning outcomes and objectives:

1. To better understand the value of formulation in practice
2. To learn about various approaches in formulation
3. To apply knowledge to practice in using formulation
4. To learn about integrating approaches in formulation
