Audit Workshop - ERDF Article 16 Audit Visits (Delivered by Paul Gethings, Internal Audit Service, Department for Communities and Local Government)
The purpose of the workshop is to share information and best practice amongst project managers on the administrative and management tools/processes that have proved effective for the planning and completion of a successful ERDF Article 16 audit visit.

This workshop will give an overview of ERDF A16 audits -
What is A16?
Why and how often do we do them?
What are the auditors looking for?
What do they cover?
What are the most common audit issues that can easily be avoided?

Project Presentation - Laurie Thomas / Lynda Sharpe, Chesterfield Borough Council

This presentation is about the process Chesterfield Borough Council went through in planning and preparing for the A16 audit and for them to share experience of the audit overall. What worked well? How long did it take to prepare? What systems/processes/procedures and planning tools did they use that are particularly effective and helped the audit to run smoothly?  

Publicity Workshop - ERDF Publicity (Delivered by Melanie Crunkhorn, ERDF team, East Midlands Development Agency)
The purpose of this workshop is to provide information on ERDF publicity requirements, ensure project managers are aware of the guidance/resources available to support project compliance, to share information and best practice amongst project managers, and to discuss what are the most common publicity issues that can easily be avoided.

Project Presentation - Teresa Smith University of Leicester

Teresa Smith will also be giving a presentation about the G-STEP project's publicity and communications strategy. Teresa will showcase some of the projects marketing materials and will talk about how they've marketed the project and ensured that the ERDF contribution was correctly referenced.
