Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Annual Public Meeting

Venue: Engine Shed, Lincoln
Date:Thursday 16th September 2010

Introduction

The annual public meeting is an opportunity to find out more about the work carried out by our Trust over the past year and its plans for the forthcoming year and beyond.

This year our guest speaker is acclaimed journalist, broadcaster, political aide and author Alastair Campbell. Alastair infamously said to former Prime Minister Tony Blair: "You do know I had a drink problem?" What could have so easily have been a kiss of death to his prospects of becoming Downing Street's director of communications, his honesty and openness actually helped secure his position. Based on his own personal experience, Alistair will candidly share his views on mental health and wellbeing.

The Trust has changed is mission, vision and values following extensive consultation with a variety of stakeholders. Find out from the Chairman and her board of directors and council of governors how this has helped shape the Trust's plans for the future.

There will be a presentation of the largest capital scheme in over 20 years for mental health services in Lincolnshire, a copy of our annual report and accounts for 2009/10 will be presented. For the first time it will contain a quality account detailing our performance against national targets.

The meeting will also feature a chance to find out more about the different services offered by the Trust.

In addition, an exhibition of service user artwork will be held
