Introduction

Lincolnshire & Rutland Public Service Compact, Maximising the potential from Apprenticeships, Breakfast Briefing, Friday 5th February 2010, Ramada Grantham Hotel.

Since its launch,  the  Lincolnshire and Rutland Public Service Compact has been keen to promote an increase in Apprenticeships in the public and third sectors in the county. The work of the Compact has been influential in encouraging many public sector organisations to integrate Apprenticeship into their workforce. We now have a situation where most public sector organisations in  the two counties  either employ  Apprentices or are planning to do so.

The Compact, in conjunction with the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS), would like to support the sector further in their work with apprentices by hosting a " Maximising the potential of Apprenticeships" Breakfast Briefing Event at the Ramada Grantham Hotel on  Friday  5th February 2010.

The event will feature contributions from the NAS,  Leicester College (describing their innovative Training Agency Model)  and  the Work Based Academy. There will also be an opportunity for  public sector employers to discuss their workforce's requirements with agencies geared up to support the development of Apprenticeship within their organisations.
