Introduction
Since its launch, Nottinghamshire Public Sector Compact has been keen to promote an increase in Apprenticeships in the public and third sectors in the county. The work of the Compact has been influential in encouraging many public sector organisations to integrate Apprenticeship into their workforce. We now have a situation where most public sector organisations in Nottinghamshire either employ apprentices or are planning to do so.
The Compact, in conjunction with the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS), would like to support the sector further in their work with apprentices by hosting an "Embedding Apprenticeship in your Workforce" Breakfast Briefing Event at Notts County FC on Tuesday 2nd february February 2010.
The event will feature contributions from the NAS, Nottingham City Homes and Nottinghamshire Training Network. There will also be an opportunity for 'Apprenticeship Speed Dating', offering public sector employers the chance to discuss their workforces requirements with agencies geared up to support the development of Apprenticeship within their organisations.
