KC-Jones Event

e2e Workshop

Venue: Yew Lodge Hotel, Kegworth
Date:Sunday 6th April 2008

Introduction

The East Midlands region has developed a Work-Based Learning Strategy and Action Plan, that also encompasses e2e.  This is in response to the Leitch Review and subsequent National Review of Apprenticeships.

One of the strategic objectives of our action plan highlights the need for clear curriculum and progression pathways.  As part of this, we are seeking to review existing good practice, across e2e, as part of our wider review of the e2e curriculum design, to enable us to improve positive destinations, together with issues surrounding fitness for purpose.

In order to bring about improvements in the participation, retention, achievement and progression of e2e learners we are holding a workshop and development day, in partnership with the East Midlands Skills Alliance (EMSA).

The aim of the day is to bring together all e2e providers, Connexions and Area LSC Partnership Managers from across the region, to focus upon identifying, exchanging and improving practice in e2e, through discussions and workshops.
