Introduction
November 11th 2004, sees the first Derbyshire Investors in People Conference, taking place at Pride Park stadium in Derby. The conference will celebrate the Investors in People standard; recognise the achievement of those organisations that have been effective Investors in People. It will be an ideal opportunity for organisations thinking about taking that first step into initiating a standard of practise for training and development. Delegates will include Human Resource professionals, Training Officers and Managers from a wide range of industries.
Investors in People is a national quality standard which encourages effective business planning linking in with employer development. The standard is suitable for any size or type of company, information on achieving the Investors in People accreditation can be obtained from Business Link or the Learning and Skills Council but the days events can be used as a "taster" and an opportunity to chat with other professionals about their experiences. The chances are that you will meet other delegates involved in your industry sector who will be only too happy share their knowledge.
