Women's Enterprise 2020
Venue: The National Space Centre, Leicester
Date:Wednesday 13th July 2005
Introduction
More and more women across the region are choosing to set up their own business. This has a positive impact across our communities in terms of creating new jobs and skills, new products, and opening up new markets. Women are also setting up social and community enterprises that revitalise our cities, towns and rural areas. But there is still more that can be done to breakdown the barriers to women in starting up or growing their business, and in helping to create a flourishing regional economy.
We would like to invite you to join us at this lively and informative event which will include:
Speakers including Abby Johnson Brennan, emda Deputy Chief Executive, Pat Zadora MBE, East Midlands Regional Assembly and entrepreneur.
Discussion between a panel of experienced business women from across the region and the audience. Information on support from start-up to established businesses.
'Have your say'.... this will be your opportunity to voice your views on the key issues which affect you and your current business, or your business ideas. Your views will inform the Regional Economic Strategy, which is the plan to make the region a better place to work and live.
"By 2020 we would like the East Midlands to be the place for women starting and growing their business"
This event is hosted by emda and is complimentary to attend.
