Introduction
Following the huge success of our ‘Lunch with... Vanessa Feltz' and the East Midlands Women in Business Conference with Dame Anita Roddick KC Jones conference&events are delighted to welcome Janet Street-Porter to our 3rd in the series of events.
Janet Street-Porter has held a varied and well recorded career. Originally studying for architecture then working in journalism, TV production and now a well known television personality and author.
She has presented a range of prime time shows before becoming a producer, and gained a BAFTA nomination. Janet joined the BBC and was responsible for about 35 series from This Is Your Life to Fantasy Football League.
For two years she was the Editor of the Independent On Sunday, a role she relinquished in 2001 to become Editor at Large, contributing features to both the Daily and the Sunday paper.
More recently she has been part of very successful series on Channel 5 "So You Think You Can Teach" ITV's "Grumpy Old Women" Radio 4's "The News Quiz" BBC2's "What the Papers Say" and received very enthusiastic press coverage when she appeared in "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here" - who could forget her ‘Burrell Baiting' in the jungle?!?
Her book "Baggage" is now out in paperback and Janet will be signing copies at the Lunch.
