As we reflect on our achievements in 2007 – 2008 and look forward to 2008 – 2009 and beyond we stand on the threshold of a new era for the delivery of economic development throughout the regions. The Sub-National Review of economic development and regeneration (SNR) is likely to broaden the role of Regional Development Agencies, and will undoubtedly change the way we work with key partners to continue addressing the challenges facing the East Midlands’ economy.

The Annual Public Meeting, from 10am to 2pm on 10th October, will be hosted by BBC News 24’s Nicholas Owen. It will include a question and answer session to give you the opportunity to ask both myself and emda Chief Executive Jeff Moore any questions.
There will also be an exhibition featuring some of the key projects and initiatives that emda is delivering as well as information from organisations the Agency has supported over the past 12 months.
