emda Simplification Event
Venue: Pride Park Stadium, Derby
Date:Thursday 6th September 2007
Introduction
The Business Support Simplification Programme (BSSP) aims to reduce the number of business support products and services to less than 100 by 2010. The benefits of the BSSP will include reduced customer confusion as well as more efficient and effective delivery of publicly funded business support. The East Midlands employment skills and productivity (esp) partnership is leading the simplification process in our region.
You are invited to a regional consultation event on Business Support Simplification at Pride Park, 10am-12.15pm on Friday 7th September 2007. Lunch will be provided afterwards, with an opportunity for networking.
The event will update partners on recent regional progress, and provide an opportunity to have your say on the national consultation document. Speakers will include:
Jane Todd (Government Office East Midlands)
Kerry Conway (HM Treasury);
Jane Swift (Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform)• Michael Carr (East Midlands Development Agency)
There will also be a roundtable discussion session on the National Consultation questions and a chance to ask questions of the speakers.
