A Recipe for Skills Success

People1st are the Sector Skills Council for Hospitality, Leisure, Travel & Tourism.

Our aim is to improve the skills of our people, help them to develop and grow, retain them, make your business become more productive through investing in your people and make ours the sector of best practice and first choice as a career.

We have employers skills needs at the forefront of our minds, we recognise the need to talk to employers to identify current and predicted skills needs and gaps within our sector.

This is our invitation for you to join us for an informal dinner. You’ll have the opportunity to meet like minded employers from a wide range of Derbyshire companies; as well as representatives from People1st, Further Education, Destination Management Partnership and other partners from hospitality, leisure, travel & tourism organisations.

We are very keen to hear your views in relation to skill deficiencies, current barriers to accessing training/learning, business support and labour turnover/Customer relations.

This will be your opportunity to voice your views/thoughts on these key issues which affect you and your business, we can then work together to provide direction and assistance in addressing them.
