KC Jones sponsors the LSC in the Race for Life

When we were approached by the Learning & Skills Council requesting sponsorship for the Race for Life, we were only too happy to oblige. The event, held on May 8 at Darley Park in Derby was just one of 150 such races held throughout the UK in aid of Cancer Research.

Colleagues from the Derby office at the LSC, along with some daughters and even one grand-daughter lined up at the start of the 5 kilometer circuit. Although they started the race in fine drizzle, that soon stopped and they all managed to complete the race in dry conditions.

Some ran the race, others power walked and some sauntered their way round but all in a good cause and their efforts raised, to date £1600 for the charity and we were more than happy to be a small part of it!
