Monday 17 July 2006 @ Pera Innovation Conference Centre, 9.30am-3.30pm
The LSC launched the Train to Gain service on 3 April 2006, a service designed to engage employers in skills development to meet their business needs.
This is event is a technical session for the successful organisations who have completed the Train to Gain Invitation to Tender Learning Provision Guidance.
The morning programme will cover:
- The technical aspects of the Train to Gain service; funding arrangements, claims procedures, audit requirements, paperwork, Employer Data Registrants System, wage contribution procedures;
- Train to Gain brand guidelines for providers; and
- National Learning Directory.
At lunchtime we will be joined by the Specialist Skills Brokerage Service, EMB Ltd and the afternoon programme will be a key opportunity to make contacts and to agree how the new arrangements between employers, providers and brokers should be operated. This is likely to include:
- The customer journey and referral protocols
- The customer relationships management protocols and targeting of employers
- The organisational needs analysis and document to help providers respond to broker requirements

This will be the first of many opportunities to meet with the specialist skills brokers to develop that crucial relationship. We are hoping to use some kind of “speed dating” approach to part of the afternoon to aid networking and any information that you can bring to ensure brokers understand who you are, what you offer and how to contact you will be invaluable. We shall be asking for the same from the brokerage organisation.

Please ensure that key members of your team are invited to attend.
