There has been a substantive change in terms of what is required of good leaders over recent years. Those organisations whose leaders do not move with the times will undoubtedly face serious problems in an ever more uncertain future where competition is increasingly intense. Leaders today, at all levels, have to inspire their people right across and through the organisation to want and to be fully involved in continually coming up with better ways of doing things to keep ahead of the competition. The old days of command and control are gone. If you are to be sufficiently fleet of foot to stay ahead of the competition in todays extremely fast-changing environment a collective approach that unleashes innovation and creativity is essential. Inspirational leadership leads to a highly motivated workforce which, in turn, leads to inspirational results. Growing a Successful Business in a Challenging Environment Hear from three highly successful East Midlands based companies who are still involved in the managing the day to day running of their organisations. They will share their experiences of the highs and lows of being in business and the barriers they faced and overcame. This seminar will explore practical ways of growing a successful business in a challenging environment, offer examples of good practice and advice and with smaller groups the audience will be encouraged to ask questions and gain advice. The morning seminar will be chaired by Gerald Ratner and the afternoon seminar by Ruth Badger.
