The Art of Smart – Autumn Conferences

Following on from the successful Art of Smart conference held in London in July 2007, a series of four follow up regional conferences have been organised in Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and London.

Travel Concessionary Authorities are required to issue new concessionary travel permits as ITSO smartcards.  These conferences will help Travel Concession Authorities and bus operators to be updated on this requirement, to discuss procurement though the  Framework suppliers and other options and to learn about what ITSO is doing to facilitate ‘smart’ concessionary travel.

The new ITSO Guide to ‘going smart’ will be launched at these conferences. 

Delegates will also be able to meet a range of equipment suppliers.

The conferences will be of great interest and benefit to:-

• Staff within Local Authorities and Passenger Transport Executives with responsibility for concessionary travel.
• Transport planners and public transport coordinators
• Bus operators
• Consultants, suppliers and technical advisors.
