Information, Advice and Guidance Seminar

The Learning and Skills Council would like to invite you along to their Health, Adult Social Care and Children and Young People's Workforce Information, Advice and Guidance Seminar. This event is aimed at employees of Jobcentre Plus, Next Steps, Connexions and the Sector Skills Councils. The event will take place on Wednesday 4th July 2007 at the Yew Lodge Hotel (Packington Hill, Kegworth, Derby, DE74 2DF), 9.30am-1.00pm with a buffet lunch/networking opportunity, departing by approximately 2.00pm.

The focus of this event is to ensure that IAG staff, Connexions and JobCentre Plus personal advisers have current industrial and occupational knowledge. There will also be 3 interactive workshops. The event speakers will be focusing on:

- What it is like to work in the three sectors;
- The key things employers are looking for;
- The key skills and qualifications needed;
- The prospects for the sector in terms of growth and decline.
