These are exciting times for Derby. with a billion pounds of investment already committed to the city, there is a new determination to use this as a platform to attract even more - thus continuing to improve Derby as a place to live, work and invest. At the same time we know that Derbys profile and image does not equal reality and is often seen as a drag on key factors of business success, whether attracting the right talent, customers or investment. Derby has a strong public-private partnership ethos and Marketing Derby is the result of a coalition of business and public agency interests brought together under the auspices of the Derby City Partnership. Our new campaign, under the banner of Derby Does It, has already attracted positive media attention and received a great response in the city. This event has been organised to briefly tell people more about the plans for Derby, explain how local businesses will benefit and show how local businesses can become involved.
