The Acas East Midlands Dispute Resolution Conference
Workplace conflict is bad for business so dealing with it effectively is vital to business success.  The early resolution of disputes within the workplace is best and where this is not possible the legal system should allow for a quick, effective remedy that is fair to all parties.  Michael Gibbons of the Better Regulation Task Force has conducted a root and branch review of dispute resolution in the workplace.  This review will inform the way in which Government policy on workplace conflict develops.
Acas is taking a forward look at the impact of the Gibbons Review.  We believe it is vital to take some time out now and again to look at what is coming your way.  One of the most productive ways to do this is in the company of experts and peers.  To this end the Acas Dispute Resolution Conference is a must.
Michael Gibbons will be the keynote speaker and Ed Sweeney the new Chair of Acas will chair the event.  Our Conference offers a ‘heads up’ on current thinking and future practice from people in the know.  You will have the chance to exchange views with both the experts and busy people like you who have to make things happen in the workplace.  You will also be offered the chance to participate in practical sessions hosted by Acas operators covering topics like mediation, ‘having difficult conversations’ and investigations - all related to our workplace dispute resolution theme for the day.

The Details for your Diary
